Hello,
How do you format the text for the pages (ie. Home, About)
Thank you
(July 9th, 2011 at 3:51 am)What do you mean by format? Do you want to change the font size or font family or something else? Please be more specific.
(July 9th, 2011 at 10:49 am)Sorry about that. If you take a look at my blog (www.i-vagabundus.com), all the page titles in the bar where there is the RSS feed, are a very small font (hard to read and they are not center aligned vertically. Can this be changed? Where in the html code? I need to at least make them aligned vertically and bigger font size. Changing font type would also be cool but not necessary.
(July 12th, 2011 at 4:06 am)Hi! Do the following, inside your code, search and locate: #menu li then add font-size:18px; you can change the numbers to increase or decrease the size. If you want to align them vertically remove float:left;. Make sure you create a backup of your template, in case anything goes wrong. I hope this helps.
(July 12th, 2011 at 11:28 am)That was very helpful! I was able to change the font size and I love the looks with the new size. The vertical alignment (up-down) I was not able to change. I believe the help you gave me was for horizontal alignment (left-right). In other words, i would like those words to be in the middle of the bar. Currently they are all the way to the top of the bar and there is a lot of room in the bar below them. Can this be changed?
(July 12th, 2011 at 11:05 pm)Nevermind! thank to where you directed me earlier I was able to fix that too! I inserted the following “15px 0 0 2px” after margin. Thank you for you help!
(July 12th, 2011 at 11:08 pm)I am glad to help you out! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask anytime.
(July 14th, 2011 at 12:28 am)One more question.
(July 16th, 2011 at 2:34 am)When I upload an image, it goes in the center of the page horizontally. Is there a way to make this image go to the left?
Another one
(sorry, I’m a newbie and I’m figuring out many things but also I’m lost on other ones). Is there a way to change size, font and color of the page titles (not post titles).
Thank you
(July 16th, 2011 at 3:27 am)No problem at all!
When you click the add image button, a new window pops out, where you have to give path to your image, there you’ll find “choose a layout” and align it left, right, center or none. Could you please be more specific regarding which page you are talking about?
(July 16th, 2011 at 11:49 am)@Marco Could you please post your comment again. I seem to have lost it!
(July 18th, 2011 at 3:55 pm)Absolutely. When I click to Configure the Header, I upload the image and it always is centered in the page horizontally.
The window that pops up to upload an image for the Header only has the following options under Placement:
Behind title and description
Instead of title and description
Have description placed after the image
Shrink to fit
None of these let me put the image to the left of the Header box and therefore to the left of the page
(July 26th, 2011 at 5:33 am)Ohh so you are talking about the header, you never mentioned it above. In that case, its not possible, because there is already an image of the template over the header. So if you try to place another image over it, I am afraid that won’t work.
(July 26th, 2011 at 3:52 pm)That’s a shame but thank you for looking into it. One more question, can the search bar be turned into a search engine bar? In other words, when you search something, can it search the web using a search engine instead of searching the blog? I’m not sure if I wanna do this but am playing with the idea and am wondering if it’s possible.
(July 27th, 2011 at 3:03 am)Its not possible! The purpose of a search bar in a blog is to search only within that blog. If some one wants to search the web, he’d probably GOOGLE it, in a new window/tab.
(July 27th, 2011 at 11:26 am)That makes perfect sense but thought I’d ask anyway.
Thank you
(July 29th, 2011 at 3:40 am)My Pleasure!
