It should not, I’ve checked it my self and it works fine! You must be doing something wrong here. Could you please tell your procedure of uploading the image?

still doesnt work, what it does is it overlaps the blog post, as if there is no room for a header at all.

Goto Layout -> Page Elements, Click EDIT on the Header Widget. A new window will pop out, check the Shrink to fit box before uploading the image. Upload your image and then save it. This should work!

when i try to upload a banner it doesnt size it and match it up appropriately, how can i fix this?

This is due to a broken image link. I’m afraid there is no backup to fix this.
