Hey! Thank you very much for this help. I have just set up my first blog and I really didn’t know how to do this. There are many other things that I don’t know how to do, but now I can at least change the skin on my brand new blog! Thank you again. I would be lost on the internet if not for smart and generous people like you!

Hi! Great site! My blogger account says “Template” then “Edit HTML” – not layout. “Edit Layout” is pretty much just a text box for html – not restore links or upload links. So how do I upload one of your templates? :) Please and thanks!

Yes you can change the words on the navigation bar. Goto Layout >> Edit HTML >> check the box ‘Expand Widget Templates’. Now search and locate

    <div class=”navigation”> . Scroll down a little further and you’ll find <li> open and </li> closed tags. Enclosed in each tag is where you can change the DESTINATION URL to your desired url, likewise you can change the anchor text to your preferred anchor text. For instance;

    <li><a href=’http://www.bloggertemplatesblog.com’>Blogger Templates</a></li>

Regarding your second query, I am afraid I can’t help you on this, as I have no experience. Please contact jj-lens shop for details on how it works. Thanks!

That’s really strange! Check my test blog, http://bloggertemplatesgenie.blogspot.com/ you won’t see any posts on the left column and also if you check the demo, there is no post appearing in the sidebar, therefore you must be doing something wrong here.

Did you click the delete widget button, while uploading the button, if not, then try that way, may be older widgets are causing the issue.

There is a ton of white (or brown in this case) space in the left and center of the screen. Any ideas?

You have an amazing website. I searched for just a few minutes, and found a template was perfect for me. I read thru past posts, but couldn’t find anyone with this same problem. If there is, I apologize an ask if you could share the url link to the solution. And if not, could you please give any advice of what I must be doing wrong? I have no problem loading the template to my blog.

The template I would like to use is called “Photoplus Light”, the url is:

    http://www.bloggertemplatesblog.com/photoplus-light-blogger-template/

    and my blog url is
    http://dearjym.blogspot.com/

The behavior of the Demo is different from the the template I downloaded and added to my blog. And it’s the behavior of the DEMO that I hope to get from my own blog.

When I run the Demo, the photo thumbnails on the home page do nothing when clicked, except for a small button ICON that appears in the upper left corner of the individual photo where the mouse pointer hovers. When this icon is clicked, a Flash icon appears in the center, and then the photo appears neatly centered in the middle of the page. And when clicked, it disappears. It’s a very nice display for photo, and efficient for scanning through several sets of photos.

The behavior that I am getting from the downloaded version of this template is quite different.

    1. The icon in the upperleft corner of the pic doesn’t appear.
    2. The entire picture (thumbnail) is a link to viewing the photo in full size on another page. Both the full size of the photo and the page-change is undesirable when compared to the DEMO.

My photos come in all sizes, and I like the simplified standard of a flash display, and all photos re-sized to a viewable size. Is there something I am doing wrong? Or something additional I need to add? I’m willing to amend any code necessary, but I just don’t know how.

I know I typed too much but I just wanted to be thorough, and clear.

An additional problems I also noticed, which hopefully is easy to fix…

The thumbnail only shows a tiny portion of the whole photo- and of that, it’s a top corner. Since I want to showcase my photos, this is also an undesirable effect. Also, all pix taken outside would all appear to be the same, since a portion of the sky would be all that’s shown in thumbnail. Is there a way to make the thumbnail displayed to show the entire photo?

I added some pix to my blog so you could see the difference. The blog is new, and the posts are are just typed jibberish, used for example.

Thank you for reading this long comment.

    Hi, JD,

I have the falknerpress template and would like to change the 4 images that repeat and change. I’ve tried many things and couldn’t change them. Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the help, but the code the instructions say to find is not there. If they were there, I would have definitely put my images before I wrote to you. Instead it has some kind of code or Javascript I can’t figure out. Anyway, thank you for your help and your prompt response.

    Hello JD,

I probably inadvertently erased the code when I was editing my header and logo, I found it. I opened up another xml file and it was there, but it is not in my template xml. I’ll try my best to do it now. Thanks a lot, again

How do you add sponsors to the 125×125 boxes? Thank you

    (March 26th, 2010 at 9:12 am)
  95. Posted By Jack Dowson

Goto EDIT HTML >> Layout, Locate the ad boxes code and place your sponsor link, depending upon the template, the code will look like this <a href=”Sponsor Link Here”></a>

    Hope this helped!

    Hi JD,

Love your stitchpress template and currently using it. However I have an issue w/ the comments section. The words don’t fit into the designated region and I’d like to edit the header info from “1 comment to ….” to simply “Comment(s)”. See: http://www.circumspecte.com/2010/03/world-water-day-water-ghanas-forgotten.html Can you help me out with that? Thanks in advance!

I downloaded the the “Impressoes” template and it uploaded perfectly. It’s a great looking template!

I’ve added a photo to the header and wondered if it can be justified “left”?

Is it possible for the title & description text to be justified “top left” to better fit in the photo.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks

Goto Layout >> EDIT HTML, search and locate #header{ and add float:left; to it. Save your template and hopefully this would work.

Extract is the same as unzip, you can use any of the three options to extract the contents of the zipped file.

Hi. I downloaded and applied your corkboard template to my blog and my blogger menus have disappeared so I can’t go in and edit or add a post or do anything. The whole screen is taken up by the corkboard background. Can you tell me how to get to the menus please? Or how to get them back up onto the screen?

Never mind. I hid your navbar display code in the HTML. So it’s all good. Thanks! Cool template.

I wanted to use the R-Black template, but every time I upload it, the code is not the same. Is there any way I can just get the code without having to use the uploader?

What do you mean by ‘the code is not the same’? The only way to upload your template is using the uploader.
