How To: Fix Blogger XML Error BX-Bliced Messages After Uploading New Templates
This post is dedicated to all those bloggers who upload those wonderful new XML templates but always get random error messages from Blogger like “BX-bliced” or like: “error 12xllldj”, “bX-39cc9q“, “bX-982020″, etc.
There are several other codes too, though the issue appears to be the same for all. In this tutorial we’ll teach you how to get rid of these error(s) once and for all. For beginners, we have added a video that can be viewed at the end of this post.
Here is what you have to do in order to get rid of this message permanently.
Step #1. Download the template from BloggerTemplatesBlog (optional),
Step #2. Get the XML opened in a text file or in any of your text editors, such as notepad/wordpad etc,
Step #3. Use “Ctrl + F” key combination; (make sure the XML is open and in the active window) and in the search box type “Widget id”,
Step #4. In every widget line it will display something like this : widget id=’example1′, replace that number with any other one of your choice.
For instance, if the widget id has a value of 1, change it to anything like 11 or 10 etc.
This is what the outcome will look like: widget id=’example22′
Step #5. Repeat the process for the rest of the widgets in the XML file. Save when finished.
Step #6. Now log-in to your Blogger’s Dashboard, then go to Layout –> Edit HTML –> Choose File and hit the upload button,
Voila! The error has been fixed.
PS: In case you didn’t get a word we said, here is a quick video to help you out. This video is intended to and is most benificial for beginners in coding. Enjoy!

Great tip! Thanks.

Glad to know
Thanks for sharing this really helpful
Thanks man..its helping..
how to un-zip the zip file?
i dont understand about it…
If you are using Windows,
1]. Double-click on the Zip file.
2]. Drag the contents of the Zip file to the desktop (or another location). When you do this, you will be copying the information from the Zip file to the computer. This will be your working copy of the data from the Zip file.
You may download and install any file compression software such as WINRAR or WinAce and unzip files using it. Hope this helps!
Thk’s its working
Hope you can assist. Am in the process of changing my blog. Have downloded Magzmo template. I have added three static pages to my blog. However they are not displaying correctly. When you click read more the full post/page is not displaying – what do I need to do, or what have I not done. Thanks in advance for your help.
@Gwei Mui Every thing seems to be okay at my end, I’ve checked your site and all the pages are working fine. Which browser are you using? Try removing the cache and see if it works or not.
